Photograph caption dated November 7, 1938 reads, "Convicted of battery against two fans who watched her fan and bubble dances in a Los Angeles theater, Sally Rand comes to court today for what is scheduled to be her sentence or fine. But Sally's attorney, Milton Golden, says he's going to appeal the verdict. Sally plans to appeal and re-appeal."
