NBC Productions, initially established by RCA in 1947, was renamed NBC Studios in 1996.
Photograph caption dated March 16, 1955 reads, "NBC's new $3,716,00 Burbank color studio, shown in aerial view above, will be opened formally with ceremonies and initial colorcast March 27. Color studio 2 is at right of picture; three buildings shown upper center are for storage of scenery sets and stage equipment and two studios in foreground are black and white studios 1 and 3. Studios are at Alameda and Olive avenues."
