Photograph was edited for publication purposes The Crippled Children's Society was founded in 1926 by the Los Angeles Rotary Club, primarily to serve the needs of children affected with polio. The society established several rehabilitation centers for children throughout Los Angeles to help children with all kinds of disabilities. In 2000, the name was changed to Ability First.
