Photo caption reads: "Christmas came early for more than three score youngsters from the Los Angeles Orphanage today when they attended the Downtown Business Men's Association's annual observance of Las Posadas, Mexico's nine-day pre-Christmas celebration. The traditional pinata smashing climaxed the celebration which was highlighted by the appearance of Santa Claus, the "Three Kings," and various civic officials, include Deputy Mayor Orville Caldwell and Councilman Ed Roybal". Photo dated: December 12, 1950.
