Photograph caption dated September 14, 1964 reads, "Union members walked out at Certified Grocers warehouse in San Fernando last night to signal start of a food strike in Southern California. Delivery of dairy products, meat, bread and beer are not affected in the walkout. An estimated four days' supply of grocery products and frozen food are on the shelf."
