Description
Herbert S. Wood, Principal of Fremont High School, is shown with a dummy effigy he took from students participating in the anti-Negro demonstration at the school. Several hundred students were suspended as the result of two demonstrations staged by students against the enrollment of six Negro girls. Photo dated: March 17, 1947.
