Description
Officers and members of the 160th Infantry, "Los Angeles' Own," are shown when they held military ceremonies at Pershing Square to honor those who gave their lives for this country on the battlefield. Wreaths were laid at the foot of two war memorials during the ceremonies. Shown standing in front row are, left to right: Councilman Stephen W. Cunningham; Lieut. Col. Henry C. Newton; Lieut. Gervase E. Sherwood; Col. Ray I. Follmer; Major Irwin W. Minger; and Major Martin Thomas is shown placing one of the wreaths.
