Cross and Crown Lutheran Church is an independent Lutheran church which is located at 809 W. Beverly Blvd. in the city of Montebello. Photo shows a beige structure with a red roof and multiple "sections". The main entrance is arched and catty-corner to the street; a large but simple cross hangs from the west wall along Beverly Blvd. Above the main doors a tall, dark steeple with a thin cross is visible. The religion of Lutheranism is a major branch of Protestant Christianity that identifies with the teachings of Martin Luther, a German monk and theologian who sought to reform the practices of the Roman Catholic Church in the 16th century.
