Description
Photograph of an aerial view of Los Angeles showing the Examiner building under construction, ca.1913-1914. Main Street, Hill Street and Olive Street are shown in the panorama. To the left of center, the examiner building is lined by scaffolding. The rest of its surrounding lot is empty. Farther forward, the Reed and Hammond Auctioneers building is visible next to the paved road where automobiles can be seen driving. A second open lot is visible across the street from the Examiner to the right, beyond which a cityscape of high rise buildings is visible. Some sort of railing is visible from the top of the frame to the bottom in the extreme foreground.
