Description
The 100-inch telescope, Mount Wilson Observatory. The tube is in a vertical position; photo taken from the southwest. The telescope has a Newtonian cage with thermocouple attached. A curved ladder extends to the top of the telescope's cage, seen at the far right. The interior balcony inside the dome is seen surrounding the telescope and its base; the interior walls of the dome are seen in the background.
