Photograph caption dated September 30, 1961 reads, "Assemblyman Lou Cusanovich (R-64th District) addresses a crowd of more than 100 persons at dedication ceremonies for the new U.S. Post office, 14801 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks. Congressman James C. Corman, Assemblyman Charles Conrad, Van Nuys Postmaster Kay Bogendorfer and Frances Egan, post office department regional distribution officer, also spoke at Thursday's ceremonies."
