Photographic group portrait of Mrs. Tingley's Counselors at the Theosophical Institute in Point Loma, ca.1902. Seven men and women in formal dress sit and stand in a group to the left of center, while two uniformed men stand behind them to the right. All stand on a large porch or balcony with a ribbed vaulted ceiling that is supported by corinthian columns. Vegetation is visible in the background. The members called the Theosophical Institute "The Home for the Revivalof the Lost Mysteries of Antiquity".
