Description
The first cassette tape (#183) contains content on the first side only. The content includes a recording of a Communications Act Rewrite workshop. This workshop was sponsored by an organization that promoted media advocacy. During the workshop, members discussed the various media and representation issues within their own district. In addition, a lecture about the legislative process was presented during the workshop. The first and second sides of the second cassette tape (#184) both contain a continuation of the Communications Act Rewrite workshop from tape #183. During this portion of the workshop, Ann Alridge presented a lecture about the Rewrite. After the lecture, the members broke off into smaller groups and discussed how they would approach their congressmen about supporting the Rewrite. After the discussion, the groups took turns rehearsing their approaches.Additional Descriptive Notes: Parts I and II
