Description
"Angola. Wandel unter Palmen in Lobitobay." ("Angola. Promenading unter palm trees in Lobito Bay."). The picture shows a row of palm trees on the left of a street and shadows of palm trees on the right. On the street stand three women on the left. A men in a light colored suit seen from the back walks along the street. The women wear white dresses and hats. In the background a couple of people walking. Written on the card board: " Br. P. Moths 1932." (" Br[other] P[aul] Moths 1932.")
Originally it was written: "Br. Baudert 1932" (Br[other] Baudert 1932") on the card board but "Baudert " was canceled and "P. Moths" added above the canceled name "Baudert". -- The picture was taken by Richard Paul Moths (1872-1950) who worked as a missionary in South Africa East from 1900 to 1948.
