Description
When the statue of Neptune arrived from Italy and was erected atop a Renaissance fountain at Palos Verdes, some persons objected that he was in the altogether, so a small costume was added. But, alas and alack, the rains loosened the plaster costume and he lost it. The photo shows Father Neptune before the accident. Photograph dated: January 21, 1933.
