Description
This circa 1910 postcard reveals a path, cutting its way through the playground abutting the west end of the Oak Park Amusement Park at Fifth Avenue, between Thirty-Third and Thirty-Seventh Streets. In 1913, the spot became known as Joyland, and boasted a roller coaster, ostrich farm, roller rink, tunnel of love, and swimming pool, drawing fun-seekers to Oak Park from around the county.
