Photograph caption dated February 3, 1950 reads, "One of the many types of bare root shade trees now being offered by Valley nurseries is the fruitless mulberry. It is a fast growing tree, with large attractive leaves, clean and neat all during the summer months. Deciduous trees are recommended for planting in places where it is desirable to have sun in the winter when the tree is bare of leaves."
