Description
Gilmore Field was the home of the Hollywood Stars baseball team of the Pacific Coast League from May 2, 1939 until September 5, 1957.
Photograph caption dated May 14, 1957 reads "Hollywood Stars manager Clyde King has his southpaws all primed and ready for the big Stars-Seattle series opening at Gilmore Field tonight. The lefties are rookie sensation Don Rowe (left) and veteran Fred Waters."
