Description: Developing neighborhood in Blithedale Canyon, circa early 1930s. The small house at the left edge of the photo was a former cottage at the Blithedale Hotel. Most of the homes higher on the hillside are along Eldridge Avenue. The large home highest on the hillside is part of the a new (at the time) Blithedale Terrace development.
