Union Hill Mine located 1 mile East of Douglas City, Ca. Used water from Grass Valley Creek via the 15 mile ditch. Showing cleaned bedrock underlying pay gravel and earthen overburden (carrying no gold). Men in foreground cleaning crevices for trapped gold.
