In the center foreground a wooden cart supports a large engine that sits to the left of center hanging on chains coming from above. To the right of the engine, a man in the background kneels down to look at something low to the ground while the front of a car is visible behind him. To the left of center, two men wearing one-piece worker suits sit next to each other on the truck's empty engine compartment while the man in the front appears to pull at a chain. Car parts and tools are strewn around in the background while the brick wall of a building and its windows are visible. Originally, the image was captioned as "Unidentified exterior of an automobile factory showing an assembly line, ca.1925".
