Description
This circa 1960 postcard shows Levee Road, which runs parallel to the Sacramento River. The Sacramento Valley’s history of flooding lead to the construction of approximately 1,000 miles of levees as part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation’s flood management plan.
