Description
Shown is a program for the Sacramento L'Amitie Club's musical performance at the Elk's Hall, held on November 23, 1907. The L'Amitie Club was a social group for young women. Within the booklet is the list of dances performed that night. On the back cover, the sponsoring patronesses of the event are listed, as well as "Music by DeCoe" at the bottom. This could be Culver A. DeCoe (1858-1934), a Sacramento music teacher. Hidden within the folds is a personal note reading, "Miss Widdows said once you were all over at her house a long time ago and Julia came up to her and said 'Please Mrs. Widdows, will you come upstairs, Arnies's playing Jack the Hugger'."
