Photograph caption dated March 24, 1965 reads "Norm Haynie, one of the finest gymnasts in the San Fernando Valley, will compete for Taft High tomorrow afternoon as the Taft Toreadors host the Birmingham Braves to open West Valley League competition. Both the West and the East Valley begin league meets tomorrow. Haynie is shown doing an 'L' on the parallel bars."
