Description
Postcard advertising the 6DGQ amateur radio station, formerly at 1922 Twenty-Fifth Street. M.J. Ford operated this call from 1927 to the early 1930s, and was known to contact radio operators in Europe frequently. In 1929, Ford and fellow operator Everett Davies relayed a congratulatory message from California Governor Clement C. Young to President-Elect Herbert Hoover the day before the latter’s Inauguration Day. The confirmation is addressed to J.H. Haughawout of San Diego, CA. Created in 1927.
