William Surrey Hart was born in 1864 in New York to father born in England and mother born in Ireland. Began stage career in 1888, entering film in 1914. In addition to acting, worked as producer, director and screenwriter. Katherine Agnew MacDonald was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1891. She was both actress and producer.
