Description
A cabinet card photograph, "No. 167, Chinese Dragon, 500 feet long," Garden City Foto Co., Los Angeles, circa 1898. The image, probably taken during La Fiesta de Los Angeles, shows a few dozen Chinese men within the dragon and walking alongside it, moving down a downtown street with a streetcar track in the middle. Bystanders observe the spectacle from both sides of the thoroughfare. With stains, especially at the upper left corner, soiling, creasing, and edge rubbing, the condition is fair.
