The view is looking west across the main campus quadrangle, with Powell Library on the left, and Royce Hall on the right. Powell Library was built 1927-29 and designed by architect George W. Kelham. Royce Hall was built 1928-29 and designed by Allison and Allison, Architects. Both buildings were constructed in a northern Italian Romanesque Revival style.
