Firemen risked their lives to battle a million dollar fire at the oil refinery in Santa Fe Springs where flames shot high from some of nine huge storage tanks. Photo shows a fireman at the top of a tall ladder, shooting water onto the flames of the burning oil tanks. Blaze consumed 720,000 gallons of high octane gasoline. Photo dated: December 3, 1960.
