Description
Grim-faced and carrying rifles with fixed bayonets, troops are shown pushing back one of the picket lines. One man carrying the Stars and Stripes was injured when he refused to move back. A soldier took the Flag, which later was returned to pickets. Photo dated: June 9, 1941.
