Photograph caption dated May 9, 1960 reads, "Delivered Cost-Free for Mother's Day -- Mrs. Charles W. Best, 29, left, smiles over her son, Charles W. Best II, first baby born Mother's Day at St. Joseph Hospital, Burbank. At right is Mrs. C.L. Young, 24, whose daughter Rikki was born just three minutes later at 12:59 a.m. [See photograph 00085529] Both will be "free babies," with delivery and hospitalization costs borne by St. Joseph Hospital, spokesmen said. Bests and their daughter, Nancy Susan, 3 1/2, live at 18760 Lemay St., Reseda. Youngs and their son Tracy, 2, live in Simi."
