Title supplied by cataloger. Mrs. Josephine Tallman, 23, and her children, James 2 1/2, and Stanley 1, were evacuated from the Georgia Hotel after gas escaped from a ruptured high-pressure main. They stood with a crowd which had gathered at Georgia street, between 12th Place and Pico Boulevard, to watch as firemen tried to control the broken main. Photograph dated January 8, 1947.
