Description
"Royal Proclamation. Queen of Madagascar" The Queen gives her proclamation from the traditional platform, surrounded by thousands of her subjects, with the city of Tananarive [now Antananarivo] in the background. Soldiers appear in clearing before the platform.
The Queen was exiled in 1897 following the French occupation. Commercial print, part of small set of mounted images.
