Thought for the day by Charles Handy on the legacies we leave and how important it is that meaningful impressions are made while still alive. Handy begins the thought discussing a child's plea for his father to come back to him after his passing. He goes on to talk about how the child will learn to embrace life and his interests without his father being physically present with him. Handy then ponders what he feels his own legacy will be in the lives of his loved ones once he departs from the world, and cautions that it is important to think about how one will be remembered and what about oneself will be treasured once death comes.
