Photographic portrait of E.H. Connery and the shark he caught off Santa Catalina Island, ca.1910. Connery is standing at right and is holding a large hook in one hand while grabbing the shark with the other. The shark is at left and is hung by its tail from a wooden support. The fish is almost twice as tall as Connery. In the background is a small wooden overhang with a sign on top. The sign reads, "Gray Bros. Pleasure Launch [?]mona Fishing Launch V[?]G". Boats can be seen on the water in the distance.
