Mrs. Evangeline Lindbergh stands with her son Charles before his plane, "The Spirit of St. Louis," at Curtis Field, Long Island, New York. This was his plane in which Lindbergh made the first solo, Trans-Atlantic flight from New York to Paris in 1927.
