Photograph (streetscape) of the exterior view of the Fifth Street Store, on the corner of Broadway and Fifth Street, ca.1902. The building stands about four-stories tall. The first floor is mostly window displays. The inner windows on the second and third floor are contained within an arch. The inner windows on the third floor have decorative columns flanking them. To the left of the building is the Los Angeles Examiner building. Two men loiter at the corner of the building next to a lamp post. Legible signs include: "[Los Ang]eles Examiner", "509", "The Fifth Street Store, something doing", "Steele, Faris & Walker Co.", "importers, jobbers, wholesale, retail", "Fifth St.", "lace curtains, tapestries, matting, linoleum, furniture, [...]bed", "liquor store", "Hollywood Candy Company, 507, ice cream".
