Description
Photograph of a view of the Owens River and Los Angeles Aqueduct, ca.1913. Two men stand on the wooden boards that top the aqueduct at center with one man leaning on one of three dark, metal devices on the left and the second resting his hands on his lower back on the right. Thick boards protrude from the back side into dirt that edges the water on the left while smooth water washes against the walls of the aqueduct from the right. Rocks speckle the dirt that covers the bank in the foreground while piles of materials and small, wooden structures stand scattered across the fields on the far bank in the background.
