Description
Photo shows Chief James Davis at a meeting with the police commission. The Commission was still divided, 2 to 2, on whether or not to file formal charges against the chief. Seated from left to right: President W. G. Thorpe, Chief Davis, Clarence Coo and Mark Pierce. President Thorpe and Commissioner Francis Drake, voted to push the charges against Chief Davis. Opposing them is Clarence Coo and Mark Pierce. Photo taken on November 19, 1929.
