Photograph article dated March 5, 1963 partially reads, "Valley State College junior varsity baseball team managed to outlast visiting Pierce College, 14-12, Monday afternoon in a 3 1/2 hour game that was cut at the end of the eighth inning because of darkness. If this wasn't enough baseball, Valley State College jayvees return to the diamond this afternoon against Los Angeles City College and Pierce meets UCLA varsity today at 2:30 p.m." Photograph caption reads, "Valley State College's Ed Greene is out trying to take third - Pierce College's Al Caponetto makes tag on the junior varsity slugger."
