Photograph of the motorized Altadena float parading down the street in the Pasadena's Tournament of Roses Parade, ca.1906. The float, in the shape of a battle ship, is decorated with flowers and flags. An anchor, coming from an anchor hole in the ship's bow, is attached the side of the ship near the deck. The ship has two guns mounted in the front. Two boys dressed in sailor uniforms stand on the highest deck of the ship. Four girls, also dressed in sailor uniforms, are standing on the lower decks on the side of the ship. Horsemen and horse-drawn vehicles can be seen in the background. Utility poles line the dirt road.
