Description
The Phoenician Resort, at the base of Camelback Mountain just outside of Phoenix, was designed as a very high end luxury hotel and spa. It initially had 604 rooms, 132 casitas, 9 Steinway grand pianos, and exterior tropical landscaping designed by plant specialists from the island of Tonga. By the early 1980s, the architecture practice had evolved into the firm Killingsworth, Stricker, Lindgren, Wilson and Associates. As a main component of their work, the firm designed large-scale, high-end luxury resorts throughout the world.
