View 1 (2008-0945). Shows the plane beginning take-off. Several planes and building in background -- view 2 (2008-0946). View from the ground looking up at plane. Shows wings and giro blades.
Taken by Mr. Orville T. Blake of Oakland, Calif.
Owned by C.E. Haines and piloted on Sunday, July 26, 1931, by Claude Owen. Pilot was landing with two passengers when lost control. Plane crashed into nearby automobiles killing one and injuring several.
