Description
Newspaper clipping of an investment advertisement for Liberty Iron Works; "What Does This Picture Tell You? Study it closely. Note the Liberty Iron Works - the business buildings on Del Paso Boulevard - the many homes in the surrounding district. All of this splendid development is not there - YET. But - the Liberty Iron Works with an $18,000,000 Government airplane contract is a reality and operating; four more business buildings are under construction on Del Paso Boulevard and many modern homes are built and building. It is difficult to estimate the tremendous effect the Liberty Iron Works will have on North Sacramento. Its employees will number into the thousands - its payroll will approximate $3,000,000 annually. And the Liberty Iron Works is here to stay - irrespective of the duration of the war. Its manufacturing possibilities are unlimited. North Sacramento, already the largest community in Sacramento County outside of Sacramento City, is certain to be developed in a phenomenally short time to an even greater degree than the artist has pictured above. Now - look again at this picture. Within less than 2 blocks of the Liberty Iron Works and in that section where the home development is indicated and where homes are now being built, you can buy a big 50-ft. lot for the surprisingly small sum of $500 and for as little as $10 monthly."
