Photograph caption dated September 26, 1938 reads "Bonnie Belle Barber, 10 days old, on the 'Made for Each Other' set at Selznick International, where she got $75 for 3 minutes 23 seconds before the cameras - less $1.50 for her old age pension and unemployment insurance. Carole Lombard (left), co-starred with James Stewart in the David O. Selznick production, is the baby's mother in the picture. Trained nurse Mrs. Madaline Moore is holding Bonnie Belle, while Mrs. Alice Dodge Smith, welfare worker, looks on. Both a trained nurse and a welfare worker must be on the set when an infant is used. Bonnie Belle is believed to be the youngest human ever used a feature picture, and the youngest applicant for a federal Social Security registration." Lombard, who died in 1942 in an airplane crash while making a war bond tour, was married to Clark Gable.
