Description
"Elim: Eingang zum Gottesacker. vgl. 9656 & 9658." ("Elim: Entrance to the God's acre. Cf. 9656.& 9658."). The picture shows an entrance gate to a graveyard. The gate has two big pillars. Between them an arch. Written on it in Afrikaans: " Het woord gezaald in zwakheid." ("That what is sowed in weakness."). To the left and the right of the gate a fence, gravestones and trees. Behind the entrance gate is an avenue with trees to the left and right. Written on the card board: "16.2.34. P. Theile."
Cf. photo no. 9656 and no. 9658. -- Photo no. 9656 shows the entrance gate from the distance. Photo no. 9658 shows the graveyard. ("So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption
it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour
it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness
it is raised in power.").-- The Afrikaans sentence is an older version of the Afrikaans language, not modern Afrikaans.
