Description
Photograph of men posing on a Pacific Electric railway car, ca.1906. At center, a group of two men and two boys can be seen posing on a large Pacific Electric railway car platform. All the men in the picture wear cowboy hats, long pants, and darkly-colored long-sleeve shirts. One of the two boys can be seen wearing a cap, and both wear long-sleeve shirts and pants. The railway car consists of a large rectangular cabin with windows and doorways sitting atop a rectangular platform. A man sitting on the ridge of the cabin window can be seen also posing for the picture. The words "Pacific Electric" have been painted onto the side of the cabin, and the number "55" is seen slightly to the left. On the top of the cabin, a large metallic rod is visible extending to the upper-left. Large metallic rods form a gate around the perimeter of the platform. To the right, a single man on a stairwell connected to the platform and poses for the photograph. Beneath the railway car, four metallic wheels sitting on a track are seen supporting the structure. In the background, tall trees are seen behind the men. To the right, a lone palm tree is visible.
