Note: "Nr. 52 [QC-30.016.0046]. Tschombala, das hinter Palmen versteckte Missionshaus mit der drüber hervorragenden Kirche u. den neuen Industriegebäuden. Der Hügel ist aufs sorgfältigste angepflanzt u. gibt schon von weitem ein Zeugnis von dem Fleiss, der Bed...ung [Entzifferung unklar] u. dem praktischen Geschick, die hier herrschen. (3. Quartalsbericht 06.10.1860: 6). Note translation: "Nr. 52 [QC-30.016.0046]. Chombala, the mission house hidden by palm trees, and the church and the new industry buildings clearly visible above. The hill is carefully cultivated and shows even to people who only have a distant impression how hard-working [illegible] and with what practical skill people here are at work." (C.G. Richter's 3.
