Photograph of San Francisco earthquake damage, showing the ruins of the Hearst Building on 3rd and Market Street, 1906. Four men in jackets and bowler caps stand on the right looking up at the destroyed building. The right wall still stands with "Hearst Building" printed between its windows. The rest of the building lies in a pile at its bottom with some of the debris spilling into the street on the left. A second large building can be seen in the background on the right.
