Photograph article dated March 8, 1965 partially reads, "An era in California jurisprudence will near its end March 15 when, at the end of the day, Superior Court Judge Samuel R. Blake takes off and hangs up his robes. It will be his last day as a regularly assigned judge. For the first time in more than 40 years, Blake will not be 'on the bench.'"
